For most of us it's hard to imagine what it would be like to be unable to provide for our most basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. But for many people in the world, this struggle is a daily confrontation.
With many humanitarian efforts in existance, these basic needs are being met for some. But for many others, there is a sense of being completely forgotten.
How can we help? We can be their hands and feet!
Feed the Forgotten is dedicated to the mission of feeding the forgotten people groups of the world. Specifically, we have started or are planning to start feeding programs for lepers, widows, and orphans.
Thank you for taking a moment to look at the feeding programs and prayerfully considering your partnership with us.

FEED THE FORGOTTEN POEM
See their faces wrinkled deep
Filled with pain, sorrow and grief.
Limbs distorted, broken down,
Bodies frail beat to the ground.
Yet in their eyes was hope sincere,
A smile of life from ear to ear.
Someone's come to dry my tears,
Their touch will help dispel my fears.
Not with much in eyes of man,
Some food, some love and a touching hand.
Yet to the one who I love the most,
I met that day in the eyes of these.
I heard a voice so sharp and deep,
Say will you go be my hands, my feet.
"Feed the forgotten" then you will see,
If you've done it to the least of these,
you've done it unto me.

Feed the Forgotten is the humanitarian wing of “Link Ministries”. It was birthed in a very unusual way while I was on a mission to India. We were going to minister to pastors, churches and do a crusade. I was informed that while there, we would stop and visit some leper villages. I did not know what to expect but when we came away that day, I felt God hit me with and overwhelming compassion for these people.
I woke up the next morning with the phrase “Feed the Forgotten”. They live with limbs and bodies that make them unable to work and therefore most of them are on the brink of starving and are forgotten by society. When you hug them you feel their frail bodies yet when you look into their eyes, somehow the eyes of Jesus bleeds through. God dealt with me so deep that I knew I must do something to help.
Lepers are not the only forgotten in the world but they certainly fit into the forgotten category. There are people all over the world and He is calling his church to stand up and be the arms, hands and feet to hurting people. I have never written a poem in my entire life and further, I don't really enjoy poetry that much, but the next night while there in India, God gave me a poem about the forgotten and thus birthed this ministry “Feed the Forgotten”.
I will always have a love for the lepers since God used them to birth this ministry. We are now endeavoring to minister to any forgotten peoples of the world.
We are doing a food distribution to 500 lepers in Southeast India in the Chennai Region. There are 4 million lepers in India, so our vision is to feed as many as possible. 2009 goal is to feed 1,000 a month.
It is incredibly inexpensive to feed a single leper or even an
entire leper village. Will you partner with us to Feed the Forgotten?
Feed a leper for a month...........................$2.50
Feed a leper village for a month................$250
Feed a leper for a year..............................$30
Feed 500 lepers for a month.....................$1,250
2009 GOAL – 1,000 a month each year....$30,000
We have a continued vision to feed widows who have been forgotten. We are in the process of getting this project underway. Anything you give toward widows will be put aside for that purpose and when we get the right location and people involved, we will launch this part of the vision. This too is on the 2009 goals.
Feed widows ................................Any donation is appreciated!
We are currently doing a feeding program with orphans in Kenya. “Kings Kids Village” is the name of the orphanage (www.kingskidsvillage.net).
Jon and Molly Stern are the directors of this orphanage. We will add more orphans as we enlarge our partner base. We are looking
at orphanages in Guatemala, Cambodia, and Bulgaria.
Feed one orphan 3 meals a day for a month ....$30
Feed one orphan 3 meals a day for a year .......$360
Feed the entire orphanage for a month ............$1,200
Feed the orphanage for a year .........................$14,400
Partnering for the sake of the Kingdom is powerful as it enables all of us to be more effective. Partners are those who will commit to a monthly gift of any amount to help us help the “Forgotten”. I challenge you to consider partnering with us as we continue expanding Feed the Forgotten (feeding lepers, orphans, widows and any "Forgotten People"), as we reach beyond our walls to bring people together and as we bring healing to the brokenhearted.
The monthly giving makes it so much easier for us to budget and also to know how to expand. Since we rely totally on gifts, this ministry is completely dependent on people who have a vision to help. I thank those who have contributed monthly with a consistent amount because the consistent monthly donations are what makes the difference and enables us to send money on a monthly basis to the Forgotten. Large donations are accepted and welcomed as well!
$10 a month = $120 a year
$20 a month = $240 a year
$50 a month = $600 a year
$100 a month = $1,200 a year |
